Microneedling Toronto

Microneedling Treatment (collagen induction therapy)

Microneedling Toronto

Microneedling, or collagen induction therapy, is a minimally invasive cosmetic procedure that uses a pen-like device equipped with fine needles to create controlled micro-injuries on the skin’s surface. These tiny punctures trigger the body’s natural healing process, leading to increased production of collagen and elastin, which are crucial for maintaining skin elasticity and firmness. The procedure also enhances the absorption of serums rich in hydrating and nourishing ingredients, boosting the skin’s overall health. Over time, microneedling Toronto treatments can help improve skin texture, reduce the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, acne scars, and stretch marks, promoting a more youthful and rejuvenated complexion.

Other Types of Microneedling

Nano Needling

Nano-needling, or nano infusion, is a gentle, non-invasive treatment that uses ultra-fine needles to create micro-channels in the skin’s surface. This allows for better absorption of serums and moisturizers, helping to improve skin hydration and address concerns like dullness, fine lines, acne, and pigmentation. Nano-needling is often combined with other treatments like chemical peels and LED therapy to enhance results and promote healthier, glowing skin.

RF Microneedling

RF Microneedling takes skin rejuvenation to a higher level by combining traditional microneedling with radiofrequency (RF) technology. This treatment creates micro-punctures in the skin to trigger collagen production and boost regeneration, while the RF energy introduces heat into deeper skin layers to further stimulate collagen and tighten the skin. This powerful combination enhances skin texture, reduces wrinkles, and firms the skin, leading to a smoother, more youthful complexion.

Dermalift (Gentle Microneedling)

Dermalift provides a less intense needling option, perfect for those who are cautious about more aggressive microneedling treatments. This technique uses extremely fine needles (0.35-0.5mm) to treat the entire face, with a particular focus on trouble spots like wrinkles, scars, and pigmentation. For sensitive areas, such as around the eyes, a stamping method may be applied. By stimulating collagen production and promoting skin cell turnover, Dermalift helps achieve a firmer, smoother, and brighter complexion. Although some discomfort may be felt, numbing cream is generally not needed.

I went there for laser hair removal treatment. Bahar is an amazing technician; She's patient and very friendly. The laser can be painful at times, and she would listen to my needs and go with my pace. The clinic can be a little disorganized with appointment times, so be sure to confirm your time close to the date.

I frequent this clinic to get laser hair removal done. I tried it out with one standalone session to test the waters and I was very pleased with the results from my first session alone that I knew I had to purchase the package and come again!Bahar is a pleasure to work with and she is a highly skilled laser technician. It has been 3 full body & Brazilian sessions so far and I am so over the moon happy with the results, there has been a dramatic improvement in the amount of hair reduction.I had laser sessions in the past with two different machines but they just didn't cut it. This clinic uses a Cynosure laser machine and coupled with the skillset of Bahar it just a very effective combination!I highly recommend getting laser hair removal at this clinic with Bahar. She really takes her time to make sure that she is targeting each area properly and does a very thorough job and the results speak for themselves. Also this clinic has good hospitality and the receptionist and staff are all warm and welcoming.Thank you Bahar and thank you Venus Cosmedical!

Important Information for Microneedling Services in Toronto

What Areas Can be Treated with Microneedling ?

For those thinking about microneedling in Toronto, it’s important to understand that this treatment isn’t limited to just the face. Microneedling can also be highly effective on other areas of the body that have stretch marks, acne scars, or other skin concerns. Common regions that benefit from microneedling include the chest, back, abdomen, and buttocks, making it a versatile option for skin resurfacing across multiple body parts.

Prepare for Microneedling

Preparing for a microneedling procedure involves several important steps to ensure the best possible results. In the days leading up to your treatment, it’s crucial to apply sunscreen daily to protect your skin. You should also avoid using any vitamin A or Retinol-based creams or supplements for at least five days before your appointment, as these can make your skin more sensitive. Additionally, it’s recommended to avoid blood-thinning medications to reduce the risk of bruising or bleeding during the procedure. Following these guidelines will help optimize your skin’s response to the treatment and promote a smoother recovery.

During a Microneedling procedure

How Long Does Microneedling Take?

The microneedling process typically lasts around 30 minutes. This relatively quick treatment session allows for a targeted approach to skin rejuvenation, making it a convenient option for those with busy schedules.

How Is Microneedling Performed?

During a microneedling session, the skin is first cleansed and a numbing cream is applied to minimize any discomfort. Once the area is prepared, a device like a Dermaroller or a specialized microneedling pen is gently rolled or pressed over the skin. The tiny needles create micro-injuries, prompting the skin to initiate its natural healing response, which includes increased collagen and elastin production. The entire process usually takes around 30 minutes, depending on the treatment area. Afterward, a soothing serum or moisturizer is often applied to help calm and hydrate the skin.

Does Microneedling hurt?

Microneedling is generally well-tolerated, with most patients experiencing only mild discomfort during the procedure. A numbing cream is typically applied beforehand to minimize any pain, making the sensation more like light pressure or a slight prickling feeling. While individual pain tolerance varies, the procedure is designed to be as comfortable as possible.

What to Expect After Microneedling

Microneedling Recovery: Downtime Expectations and Essential Aftercare

After a microneedling session, patients typically head home immediately. Many opt to take the day off due to the temporary pink or red hue of their skin, but most can return to work the next day. It’s normal to experience some bruising, tightness, itchiness, and warmth for up to two days post-treatment.

Short-term hyperpigmentation can occur, especially in individuals with darker skin tones, but this usually fades within 48 hours. For optimal recovery, avoid makeup and sunscreen for the first 12 hours. Gently cleanse your face three hours after the procedure and again before bed. You can resume your regular skincare routine after 48 hours, but avoid alcohol-based toners for two weeks to prevent excessive dryness. Additionally, limit sun exposure for 10 days to protect your healing skin.

How Long Until You See Results from Microneedling?

The results from microneedling typically begin to show within a few weeks. Initially, you might notice a subtle improvement in skin texture and tone as your skin starts to heal. More noticeable changes, such as reduced scars or fine lines, generally become apparent after 3 to 6 weeks. Full results often emerge after a series of treatments and several months, as collagen and elastin production continues to build and refine your skin.

How Long Do Microneedling Results Last?

Microneedling results can be long-lasting, with improvements typically persisting for several months. The benefits arise from increased collagen and elastin production, which continues to enhance your skin’s texture and firmness over time. For optimal and sustained results, many patients choose to have follow-up sessions every 6 to 12 months. Individual factors such as skin type, lifestyle, and adherence to aftercare can also influence the longevity of the effects.
